Public Note:
[CFS] Cap uplifted, slightly wavy. Surface dry, with bands of tomentose wrinkles. Amethyst to royal purple mottled with dull olive to grass greenish. Gills almost all of same length; many branching near juncture with stipe. Cream to very light yellowy, finely marginate with dusky purplish gray. Weakly yellow in UV light. Stipe 33 mm tall, 15 mm thick at apex. Surface with fine, obscure, vertical grooves. Dusky lilac or rosy purplish especially in band around base. Cylindrical, slightly enlarged at apex, and base weakly swollen. Flesh white, semi-solid/punky-pithy. KOH negative. Taste indistinct. Odor indistinct. Fruiting under Nothofagus.
