[NS] Scattered form moss covered trail bank, under beech . Cap 17-35 mm across, dry, appressed fibrillose, stipe 24-52 mm long, 3.5-5 mm thick, partial a thin cortina, leaving a band of fibers near apex, flesh firm, stipe solid, whitish, not, or with slight orangish-brown staining in lower stipe. Taste indistinct.
