Public Note:
[NS] Cap 45-54 mm across, dry, wrinkled, mottled purplish with olive-green young, more olive green in age, gills faintly purplish marginate, stipe covered with purple punctations, 40-61 mm across, 8-14 mm thick, firm and solid when young, soft, and hollowed out by larva in age, no odor, taste mild, to slowly slight acrid tinge. UV light greenish on cap, creamy yellow on gills, yellow flesh. [JAC] gill edge dark.
