Public Note:
[NS] Scattered from soil and moss under Kunzea. Cap 39-90 mm across, dry, dark when young, becoming paler in age, and distinctly tuberculate-striate. stipe 48-86 mm long, 9-20 mm thick, slight discoloration when handled, flesh beige to pale tan, stipe with many hollow pockets, odor bitter almond/cyanide, taste slowly bitter (10 secs), then lingering very acrid (~30 secs). UV light greenish yellow on stipe and gills, golden brown on cap.
