[NS] Scattered from duff and soil under beech Cap 40-81 mm across, dry, finely scaly, with yellowish tomentose veil tissue over disc with young, stipe 38-77 mm long, 8-19 mm thick, equal to slightly enlarged to bulb, with abrupt, flattened base, surface with pinkish scales, dry, odor and taste indistinct, KOH slight olive-gray on cap.
