Public Note:
[NS] Scattered on large troop under Silver Beech Cap (20) 35-68 mm across, dry, bright yellow, aging reddish yellow, gills bright golden yellow, to golden brown when spores mature, stipe (41) 51-82 mm long, 6-14 mm thick at apex, clavate to bulbous at base, 9-28 mm across, basal mycelium bright yellow. Flesh yellowish, brighter towards edges, stipe brownish around larva tunnels, to brown cored in age, odor indistinct, taste slightly bitter. KOH bright red on all parts. UV light deep golden orange.
