[NS] Scattered in moss, from duff, under mountain beech. Cap 20-66 mm across, moist, greasy, stipe 29-63 mm long, 5-7 mm thick, base with binding mycelium to surround duff, tough, somewhat cartilaginous, solid to hollow, odor somewhat fetid, taste indistinct.
