Specimen notes
Public Note:
[NS] Scattered in moss and lichens, under tea tree and beech. Cap 24-55 mm across, fused to 83 mm, dry, scaly, stipe 22-35 mm long, 11-19 mm thick, base blue-green, flesh staining vinaceous, stipe base blue-green. Odor strongly farinaceous, taste slowly, but strongly bitter. KOH dark forest to blue green on flesh, cap appearing dark bluish black to black.
