[NS] Scattered from soil and duff under beech. Cap 37-78 mm across, stipe 44-86 mm long, 8-15 mm thick at apex, bulb squat, rounded, dark tissue rimmed at top, flesh off white to grayish, partial veil gray on underside, odor slightly unpleasant, taste mild to nutty.
