Public Note:
[WMD] This group of fruit bodies was growing amongst broadleaf litter. Juvenile fruit bodies were hat shaped becoming broadly conical as they mature with a small flat centre. The surface of the cap was fibrous and peeling back. The gills appeared to be attached but pulling away. There was a distinct veil on juvenile fruit bodies but there was no obvious ring on the stipe of mature fruit bodies. [JAC] L. cepistipes/cinerascens
