Specimen notes
Public Note:
[GS] Growing on the underside of logs in broadleaf-podocarp forest. Individual fruit bodies up to 30 mm across, lying flat against the substrate but easily removed (photo 4 shows the upper surface of one fruit body, the main point of attachment being in the centre). Where the substrate is angled (not totally horizontal) the upper edge of the fruit body tends to be slightly reflexed. Very small pores on lower surface, about 10 per mm. [JAC] I see a few sites have R. concrescens as a synonym of R. microporus. I can't find the source and I can't understand why. There are key differences - colour, cystidia for two.
