Specimen notes
Public Note:
[WMD] The cap of this observation was more brown than grey. Cap smooth and lighter around the margin. The gills are creamy with a notched attachment to the stipe. The stipe is creamy with tan hints and fibrous in appearance. Cap size was 1.5 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm in height. Growing as a single fruit body. Remnant mature coastal broadleaf forest.Possibly another example of Dermoloma hemisphaericum? Q value about 1.4 (cf. D. murinum which had a Q value of about 1.9 for https://inaturalist.nz/observations/6067436). D. hemisphaericum described as sepia in colour and this observation was more brown than is typical for D. murinum which is distinctly grey.
