[NS] Scattered in clusterd from soil under beech.Fruitbodies 56-111 mm high, clusteds to ~50 mm across, made up of loosely packed tufts of once/twice forking brnaches, with a fuised base. Branches staining ochre-brown, base staining lilac. Taste slightly bitter, odor indistinct.
