Specimen notes
Public Note:
[GS] Growing on the ground in broadleaf-podocarp forest. Caps to 25 mm across. [JAC] Dermoloma is still just a guess. The spores are amyloid and smooth. The pileipellis is a distinct hymeniderm of brown cells. The gills have dried yellowish - a bit like some Hydropus, and they have a distinct blue gill edge. Most peculiar. The photo of fresh materiale suggests the same as 15367 but both ITS and LSU suggest this is a different species of Pseudotricholoma. The two collections have also dried quite differently. CC here much less prominent than 15367 despite blue gille dge. 4-spored, clamped. The pileiplellis is a true hymeniderm without trichodermal elements and not typical of the reported cutis for Pseudotricholoma.
