Specimen notes
Public Note:
[WMD] These fungi have a velvety purplish knobbed cap. The cap is paler at the margin and is 1.4-2.8 cm in diameter and 2.7-3.5 cm in height. The gills are creamy and attachment is adnexed. The stipe is yellowish-purplish-tan with white ‘frosting’ near the apex. Growing on soil amongst totara litter under a grove of totara. Definitely a reaction with Lugol’s iodine -probably amyloid. Appear to be clamps present. Reminds me of a cross between Pseudobaeospora and Cystoderma. [JAC] cap green in KOH, spores 7.5 x 6.5. Sequence says another new one and not same as 14558
