Specimen notes
Public Note:
Hyperparasite on the Rhagadolobium stroma. Appear to be both the Titaea anamoorph along with immature ascomata of what are assumed to be the Paranectriella teleomorph. Although the teleomorph s immature, the globose, superficial ascomata with pale, globose, with pale yellowish walls and flexuous hairs, is typical for Paranectriella (Rossman, Myc Pap 157, 1987).
P.R. Johnston, Jan 2019
Public Note:
Seperate samples from the conidia and the immature ascomata generated identical ITS and LSU sequences. Incorporating LSU sequence into the phylogeny in Guatimosim et al. (Persoonia 35: 2301-241, 2015, http://dx.doi.org/10.3767/003158515X688046) places it sister to Myriangiales and Hysteriales. https://datastore.landcareresearch.co.nz/dataset/phylogeny-of-new-zealand-ascomycetes/resource/563e7c70-2a78-44b2-bd04-7f4e15e89c02
