Public Note:
Discomycete with Cyathicula-like excipular structure but genetically distinct to Cyathicula. There are several specimens representing each of two sister species that share the features of having white sessile to short-stipitate paothecia that stain red or yellow with damage, and that have an excipulum of long-cylindric cells in parallel rows embedded in gel. PDD 111507 - spores ovate, radially symmetrical, 0-septate, hyaline, 4-7 x 2-3.5 (avge 5.3 x 2.6) um.
