Specimen notes
Public Note:
UTDNA# 2809
E. Harrower, 2016
Public Note:
The spores are too narrow and too short to be C. atroviolaceus. The spores fit the dimensions of C. austroviolaceus. However, this species grows with Eucalyptus, not Leptospermum. The closest named BLAST sequence matches C. xenosa (KJ635207; 95 percent confidence), a species that is not in the Cortinarius violaceus group.
