Specimen notes
Public Note:
Apothecia recall Chlorociboria subtilis macroscopically with tiny, delicate discs forming on leaf with copious green staining. With this Australian species the discs themselves are greenish when first forming, but when mature green staining is confined to the base of the stipe. Differs microscopically from C. subtilis in the tomentum hyphae being 25-30 x 6-8.5 um, broad-clavate, roughened over the swollen part of the cell, smooth at the base, and the ascospores (although not seen clearly) appear to be shorter, about 25-30 x 2.5 um.
