Public Note:
[GS] Growing on very rotten wood largely inside a large log in broadleaf-podocarp forest. Caps to 40 mm across, cap surfaces and stems covered with fine fibres or scales. [JAC] the spores are minutely rugulose and pinkish. This would be a contender for Stevenson's Rhodocybe albovelutina, except this has obvious clamp connections in all tissue. Same as Horak's PDD97806 as Neoclitocybe. ITS+LSU convincingly basal to Clitopilus/Rhodocybe Gen. nov. ITS near Clitolyophyllum.
