Public Note:
[WMD] Group of fruit body on the end of a log associated with very rotten wood elevated off the ground. Cap surface lightly fibrous and yellow-tan-brown in colour. There is a ring on the stipe and veil remnants around the cap margin. Cap size 3.6-5.5 cm in diameter and 3.5-6 cm in height. Gills brown and probably attached but pulling away. Rhizoids present at the base of the stipe. Remnant mature coastal broadleaf forest. This looks like it may be a Stropharia but I don't really know this group. Cap cells not distinctive and not spherical. Cystidia on gill edge but not obvious on gill face. Spores about 7-7.8 x 4-4.7 micron.
