Specimen notes
Public Note:
[WMD] The caps of this Gliophorus are creamy-yellow becoming more orange-tan with age and with green hints. The fruit bodies turning considerably more green on collection. The cap size is up to 2.9 cm in diameter and 4.5 cm in height. The gills are yellow with a gelatinous thread and are attached and slightly descending. The stipe is creamy with yellow-orange at the base. Growing in scattered groups amongst litter in remnant mature coastal broadleaf forest. The Glioporus in this reserve are often vague in colour and change colour and don’t distinctly match the colour descriptions for the common New Zealand Gliophorus species. This may be the same species as https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/6604812 and a colour variant of Gliophorus graminicolor.
