Public Note:
[WMD] Large orange Hygrocybe with a waxy cap growing up to 4.3 cm in diameter x 5 cm in height. The cap, gills and stipe are all similar in colour. The gills are narrowly attached and orange-yellow with a paler margin. The stipe is hollow and splitting/peeling back and tapers at the base. The fruit bodies fall over easily and are only shallowly attached to the soil surface. Growing amongst leaf litter on soil in remnant mature coastal broadleaf forest. [JAC] spores 8.8 x 5.4. Keys to H. blanda but too big for that.
