Public Note:
[NS] Clavulina 'gray monopod'. Under beech. Same as 57? Solitary or clustered in gregarious patch. 47-81mm high. 1-7mm thick. Becoming more spatulate with age. Stipes contrasting creamy with greyish upper. No odor. Taste mild. [JAC] dried dark grey, with a yellow contrastig stipe. No cystidia, or not obvious. Spores globose 9um. Keys to C. floridana, then geoglossoides if cystidia present.
