stipe longitudinally ridged and pubescent. Cap finely pubescent becoming smooth. shiny. Taste mealy, not bitter (i.e. more like smithii than putaminum). Pleurocystidia of two type. Small cylindrical irregular and filled with yellow content, occurring in clusters on the lamellae, and occasional large vesiculose thin walled hyaline collapsing cystidia, sometimes coated with amorphous material. Pilocystidia like caulocystdia. line cheilocystidia. Spores with germ pores, length=11.0-13.6µm (µ=12.1, σ=0.64), width=5.6-7.5µm (µ=6.6, σ=0.54), Q=1.6-2.1µm (µ=1.85, σ=0.11), n=20
