Public Note:
[GS] Growing on the ground in native beech forest. Clumps up to 10 cm across and 5 cm high. Even more yellow than photos show. Have added a photo of a fruit body sliced in half. There did not appear to be anything watery or gelatinous in the tissues. Nor were any rhizoids seen, it was difficult to get the stipe base out whole as it was growing very close to large roots in the soil, if not on them. [JAC] This would key to R. samuelsii without gelatinised flesh but macroscopically it looks more like R. rotundispora with such flesh. In both cases it seems we have several species hiding under those names so it needs the micro work..
