Specimen notes
Public Note:
[GS] Growing on rotting wood in broadleaf-podocarp forest. Caps to 25 mm across, brownish-tan. Gills pale brownish-fawn, darkening with age. Stems quite short, fawn coloured. [JAC]small stipe present in young frbs. No chrysocystidia, spores with germ pore, 4 spored, 6.6um. Cheilocystidia lanceolate/fusoid. Actually I think this is Melanotus hepatochrous, type from Tasmania, and I don't think it is a synonym of D. horizontalis which what the books say. More work needed.
