Specimen notes

Public Note:
I would disagree with P G-J that Cyphella filicola is too close to C. filicicola and should be considered a later homonym. My view also given by Shaun Pennycook in the checklist. Thus the first available epithet is Cook's original, not the later nom. nov. C. pteridophila. The correct name should be Badimiella filicola. It does seem safe also to assume that the original material did have the 1-septate hyaline conidia described by Cook, and so these are the asexual fruiting structures (campylidia) of a lichen with orange apothecia.
