Public Note:
no change with KOH or FeS04. 4-spored, monomitic, unclamped, no cystidia, basidia looped basal clamps not clear. C. roseoviolacea - but that has basidia with obvious looped clamps and non terete dividing clubs so ID tentative. Spores definitely smooth. Some basidia 2-spored (and with bigger spores). Smaller spores, exlcuding apiculus length=6.7-8.0µm (µ=7.3, σ=0.39), width=6.0-6.9µm (µ=6.3, σ=0.23), Q=1.1-1.2µm (µ=1.16, σ=0.05), n=14. If ignore spines as a character then C megaspinosa.
