stem extremely glutinous below ring zone. With pleurocystidia, some smaller and yellow in KOH. No cheilocystidia. Spores length=12.8-14.8µm (µ=14.0, σ=0.52), width=6.9-8.3µm (µ=7.8, σ=0.35), Q=1.6-2.1µm (µ=1.80, σ=0.11), n=20. Germ pore central. For Noordeloos this would be P. alcis with narrow, smaller spores and larger germ pore than P. semiglobata. However sequence sampling is currently poor and inconclusive with a number of identical sequences labelled semiglobata, islandica, ochraceoviridis. This is slightly different to that group but not near P. alcis var. austrobrasiliensis
