Public Note:
In plant pot with ferns. With ring zone from cortina and strongly pulverulant cap when small (recalling a small hemipholiota). Appears to be similar/identical to recent report from MPI of 'Galerina' from potting mix. . Spores smooth, thick walled, with germ pore 2 and 4-spored. length=10.7-14.1µm (µ=12.0, σ=0.86), width=6.3-8.5µm (µ=7.0, σ=0.51), Q=1.5-2.0µm (µ=1.72, σ=0.13), n=20. Not dextrinoid. Tissue clamped. No metuloids. If pleurocystidia present then basidiolar. Clearly indicates T. galanthina is not ECM.
