Specimen notes
Public Note:
[WMD]Group of Mycena with lilac colours. Cap smooth, lilac-beige with tan in centre, hemispherical with inturned margin, up to 1.5 cm diam. x 3.5 cm height. Gills pale lilac-beige, attached. Stipe lilac at top, darker towards tapering base, 2-2.5 mm. Spore print white. Microscopically gill edge cystidia very variable. In regenerating bush on edge of reserve adjacent to housing at Shelly Park Beach. [JAC] ITS suggests rubromarginatae, LSU suillus?! This is the same as loaned MEL material is M. clarkeana. Grgurinovich has this as calodontes - on wood, like some of ours. However sequence says fragilipedes/rubromarginatae.
