[WMD] https://inaturalist.nz/observations/1332027. Large Pleurotus (13.5 cm diam. x 12 cm height) with a dark brown cap, paler at edges and with a "furry centre" as it ages. Gills yellow-cream on fallen log. Stipe short and fat, about 24 mm diam. x 6 mm height. Spores about 12-14 x 4.0-4.5 u. Photographed on 12 March and again two days later on 14 March. Remnant mature coastal broadleaf forest. [JAC] Has obvious gloeosphex cystidia but no metuloids? spores length=9.2-11.8µm (µ=10.5, σ=0.60), width=3.1-4.2µm (µ=3.8, σ=0.30), Q=2.4-3.4µm (µ=2.81, σ=0.27), n=24 (spores on cap). Cap hyphae5-10um. Some gloeoplerous hyphae (not restricted to P. parsonsii).
