Specimen notes
Public Note:
resulted from attempt to isolate a Trimmatostroma. Teleomorph said to be Bisporella sulfurina but note that the anamorph of Bisporella discedens (=B. claroflava) also has a B. truncata-like anamorph. It seems likely the NZ collections (of which this is the second) are actually the anamorph of B.c (see Johnston, Mycotaxon 1988). With dried culture which could be used for DNA. LSU sequences of culture says that this is a member of the arthropyreniaceae along with Roussoella and Roussoellopsis. The former with Cytoplea anamorphs. Looks like there are multiple Bloxamia-like fungi with different teleomorphs.
