Public Note:
[PL] cap applanate, finally centrally depressed, purple, yellow in centre, margin entire. Cap 300 diam. Flesh purple below cap. 1/2 peeling. Gils adnate, cream with faint purple edge. Stem 30mm x 10mm pink or purple, furfuraceous, breaking up to reveal white flesh below. Taste mild. Smell nil. Macrocystidia persent, thick walled. [jac] sv-ve but lots of red pigment. Cap basal layer amyloid. Hairs basal cells inflated, cap hairs to 150 um septate, tapered at apex? Spores very spinulose. New keys to come to griseoviolacea, but sequence says R. macrocystidiata
