Public Note:
Pileus dark brown to black in center, chestnut brown at margin, slightly sticky, with agglutinated fibrils, 6 cm broad. Flesh yellow, quickly cyanescent, dark blue around insect larval holes. Tubes adnexed, yellow, with angular and isodiametric pores, cyanescent. Stipe 3.5 cm long, 1.5 cm broad at apex, 2 cm at base, dry, yellow, reddening in mid stipe, somewhat finely matted above, with some coarse low longitudinal folds (ridges), cyanescent at base, with interior yellowish above, red towards base, not cyanescent.
