Specimen notes
Public Note:
An apparently undescribed Asteridiella sp. (Asterina geniostomatis also present on the leaves, PDD 104108). The Asteridiella has smaller, less dense colonies, large obvious hyphopodia with pore, ascomata globose rather than flattened, ascospores 3 septate (these present on surface of leaf andf around overmature ascomata, but mature asci were not seen). Ascospores 25-30 x 12-15 um, cylindric, 3-septate, broadly rounded ends, walls brown, smooth. Ascomata globose, glabrous, wall with angular cells. Hyphopodia about 25-30 x 12-15 um, with a small, round pore, small basal cell about 5-9 um long, 8-10 um wide.
