Specimen notes
Public Note:
This specimens appears to be typical of Waydora typica as described in its protologue, with the conidiomata having a zone of pale, tangled, quite broad hyphae with gelatinous-looking walls between darked inner and outer walls layers. The branched conidiophores and the small, slightly curved conidia recall Cytospora. The ITS sequence from this specimen matches several Genbank accessions identified as Cytospora.
