Gills dried pale cream. Cap ramealis, partially gelatinised. 2-spored. length=8.5-12.3µm (µ=10.1, σ=1.3), width=5.6-6.4µm (µ=6.0, σ=0.3), Q=1.5-1.9µm (µ=1.7, σ=0.2), n=8. Cystidia metuloid simple to furcate. Spores thin-walled, collapsing. Not junghuhnii as that without cystidia. a 2-spored C. simulans. See Nova Hed 1981, 34, p434
