Public Note:
"TCA, on Tree Hibiscus, 23/11/04, LD, cap-&-stalk, cap 25mmD, top white with grey centre, gills white". Gills dried orange. With large vesiculose cheilo & pleurocystidia, sometimes with small internal crystals. No tissue amyloid or dextrinoid. Spores massive, spherical. Gill with occasional thick-walled antler-like hyphae. Cap an ixocutis with a few thick-walled hairs, unclamped. Gills in rank of three. Trama parallel. 2-spored? Spores length=19.3–23.2µm (µ=21.0, σ=1.2), width=18.9–22.4µm (µ=20.3, σ=1.1), Q=1.0–1.1µm (µ=1.0, σ=0.0), n=9. What other genus with spores like this? If so then an oddity in the genus - like O. exannulata. The only Oudemansiella regularly recorded acrsss the Pacific is O. canarii but this is different.
