Cap with just spherical cells. Caulocystidia rare and only hair-like. Section Pilosellae. 2-spored. length=11.7-13.5µm (µ=12.3, σ=0.4), width=8.3-9.6µm (µ=8.9, σ=0.4), Q=1.3-1.5µm (µ=1.4, σ=0.1), n=11 Stipe not radicant. C. bispora/ambigua/siliginea/rickenii. With cylindrical cheilocystidia and occasional utriform pleurocystidia. Note that Hawaiian Agrocybe aff.procera is described without caulocystidia, utriform cheilocystidia, but has dull brown spores. These are definitely Conocybe-like. Note that C. vinaceobrunnea is described from horse dung on Rarotonga, very different.
