Seems to be arising from a socle/pad? P. djamour is an unusual pleurotus with dimitic hyphae. The hyphal system closer to Lentinus, Heliocybe, and especially Neolentinus and the hyphae are Gloephyllum-like. P. djamor has confimed sequence placement in Pleurotus.
