Stipe tough, tapering, with ring 1/3 from top, 90mm long x 10-12. spores 7-8 x 6-7, q=1.18. [JAC] cap without a josserand layer. Cap surface a gelatinised cutis of brown hyphae, with some evidence of encrusted pigment, over disorganised cutis of unclamped hyphae. Most sub-cutis hyphae thick-walled, to 5um diam. hyaline to pale brown plasmatic content. Occasional thicker thin-walled hyphae, to 10um diam. hyaline or brown.
