Characterised as:
ITS matches the Calycina sp. ex JGI genome (as Bisporella). Several GenBank accessions also match, many of these isolated from roots. ITS phylogeny places it sister to Porodiplodia. Multi-gene analysis places the genome in Pezizellaceae, somewhat distinct from Calycina.
