This sample was associated with Dothistoma septosporum and was isolated from stained wood. No information is available about the effect of this fungus on the wood, but no pathogenic records are available in the literature. our molecular analysis shows that the isolate is a member of Sporothrix inflata species complex, but significantly different fromt he type of S. inflata. Therefore it is treated as Sporothrix sp. and future taxonomic studies should determine what is the exact species. the isolate is different from the Sporothrix sp. NZFRI-M 3992.
