Culture notes
Note:
Annotated as Pezicula sp. 1 in Genbank, but different species to Pezicula sp. 1 sensu Abeln et al. (2000)
P.R. Johnston, 2 Oct 2013
Characterised as:
ITS sequence an exact match to GenBank record MH844076 - no details about source of this isolate but was apparently from a study of endophytes of Pseudowintera, so perhaps also from native forest. This fungus is genetically similar to Pezicula neosporulospora (GenBank NR_138003), a species that also occurs in NZ, but on exotic hosts (e.g. ICMP 14405 and ICMP 15708 ex kiwifruit).
