To my knowledge there are no specimens of Cryptostemma for the Christchurch district in New Zealand herbaria. This gathering then substantiates two earlier published records for the locality which could only be taken with reserve previously:
1. T.W. Kirk in Thirteenth Report of the Department of Agriculture, 1905:323.
2. E.H. Atkinson in The Journal of Agriculture (N.Z.) 12.1:1916:34.
