c.fr. - branching irregular to subpinnate - veg. [vegetative] leaves thin, concave, entire or very slightly tooth [toothed] near apex, smooth, broadly ovate-lanceolate, constricted above base and abruptly tapered to a slender apex - costa absent - median laminal [cells] linear-vermiculate, firm-walled, smooth, mostly 60-75 µm long, not or weakly tapered at cell ends - Alar cells ....5-6 cells abruptly differentiated and strongly inflated, yellow or hyaline; ± auriculate, bounded by elongate, yellow, and porose cells at the leaf base, and transitioning rapidly into ± typical laminal cells above - Perichaetial [leaves] oblong lanceolate - Capsule oblong-cylindric, horizontal to weakly pendulous, - smooth setae - Exothecial cells collenchymatous - Operculum subulate from a conic base
