Notes:
Branchlets with mostly branched hairs, simple hairs only on raised portion of stem below attachment of petiole.Leaves in whorls of 3's: lamina 6-6.5mm. long, petiole 0.5-0.75mm. long. T.S [see diagram on supplementary note]: upper surface plane, asperous on margin. Lamina bright shining green, petiole light-yellowish-green.Flowers in groups of 3's, terminal on branchlets. Pedicellate, pedicels curved, fls drooping. At point of attachment of 3 pedicels, a whorl of 3 hyaline, leaf-like bracts (triangular, ± 1mm. long, ±0.5mm. wide basally, ciliate on margins, keeled near apex, keel greenish - tinged.Pedicels 3-4mm. long with whorl of 3 bracts ± 1mm. from point of common origin: grooved, and often ± spinally twisted.Calyx ± 1.25mm. long, whitish, lobes joined basally for ± ¼ of length: lobes 4, hooded, ciliate margins.Corolla white, occas. with pink tinge: 4-loved. 3-3.5mm. long, loves ± 1.0 mm. long, obtuse to bifid, margins erose.Style 1.5mm. long, exserted.Stigma capitate, greenish to greenish-white.Stamens 8, ± 2.5 mm. long overall.Filaments ± 1.25 mm. long, hood at base, tapering above, whitish or hyaline, with central brownish line, glabous.Anthers brownish, ± 1.25mm. long, opening in upper half by slits or pores: appendaged at base.Pollen small, whitish, grains single.[illegible] Bailey (Manual of Cult.
