Supplementary remarks:
It is evident that the plant from the Wellington area known as S. chilense is not this species, and from specimens and descriptions available to me it would appear to be more correctly placed under S. iridifolium HBK.
Would like to examine main Bot. Divsn. material of S. chilense to see if by chance there are two separate entities passing under this name.
